Sucre

Beautiful Sucre is the constitutional capital of Bolivia. The historic city was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991 because of its wonderfully well-preserved colonial centre with many 16th century religious buildings. With a fifth of the number of inhabitants compared to the administrative capital La Paz, Sucre has a very cosy feel to it.

The place was wonderful. It felt like a Mediterranean home with a fantastic view. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the courtyard pleasant and sunny. The owners were attentive and ready to do anything for you. There is a kitchen with balcony for use by the over-nighters. ... more

What a lovely place to stay in Sucre. The place was spotless, the courtyard was lovely, and our room was nice and quiet. We didn't make use of the DVD library, but there were plenty of options.

It is a lovely courtyard hostel and it has a great book exchange. The room we stayed in was a bit strange. It had no storage facility (so when you unpacked, the room looked like a bomb site).
