Chakana House Hostel

I was given a dank, dark room on the ground floor. The mattress was hard and the room was cold. The shower only gave less than lukewarm water and it was unpleasant. During the day there was loud salsa music making having a nap after a long bus ride very difficult. In the morning I couldn't wait to leave and didn't stay for breakfast. ... more

We loved the place and the owners. The price is very cheap compared to the rest of Cusco. The owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Would definititely recommend. Only downside is its location, it's a 10-minute walk to the plaza de armas and the street it's in gets noisy early in the morning. ... more

I had mixed feelings about this hostel. I was worried about finding a hostel in Cusco during high season so I booked online to avoid not finding a place. I regretted this.
