What a nice place to stay! I felt right at home in this cozy house outside the main city. First the location wasn't in the middle of Galway city, which is a traffic nightmare, so to be a bit outside was a relief. Also, heading to Connemara or the Burren is no problem form this place. ... more

  • Ireland trip for August
Hi everyone, me and my gf should be heading off to Ireland for 10 days together in August. However driving is not an option so we will be relying on public transport to get around. I was wondering what people thought of this plan: Day1: Shannon Airport > Limerick > Galway Day2: Galway city or visit Aran ...

Cork is great! I love Galway though. Its a great hangout for easy going types and small enough that's its easy to get to know. Plus the summer festivals are brilliant. Cork is better in October with the Jazz. From Galway you can do most touristy things too, its quite central. It's an amazing party town ...

Such a gorgeous Bed & Breakfast. A lovely host and a lovely stay. Wish we were staying longer. Only 10 mins walk to the water & 15-20 mins to the town centre (and a bus straight outside).

The receptionist was lovely and although the B&B doesn't allow pets to stay within the house, one guest brought their dog along who slept on the patio out the front.

I stayed one week at the Forge b&b, it was the 2nd time and because of the last experience I decided to stay there again. The location is not in the city center but it's only a 10 min.

The owner of the Bed and Breakfast was not there when I tried to check in, two times! I had even e-mail them to give my exact arrival time. The location was also pretty far outside the city.
