Langkawi is a duty free island located far north of Peninsular Malaysia in the state of Kedah. There are ferries to this island from Penang and the mainland. If you are from Thailand, you may take the ferry from Satun for 45 minutes travel time.

We are so happy to have found Kedawang. Our friends booked at other places, directly on the main beach, and complained continually of poor service and facilities.
