Guest House Hokorobi

I stayed at Guest House Hokorobi for one night. I had arrived in Fukuoka before noon, but I was able to check-in earlier than expected. I got to take a two-hour nap in the comfiest bed, until I was informed they put me in the wrong room. Mistakes happen.
This was my first stay at a hostel in Japan, so I'm unaware how the system works. Many guesthouses I've stayed with in Korea provide free breakfast meal and a drink, so I would've liked to enjoy that as a service for the value. It seemed as though they were milking me for every yen I had for milk and sugar.
Location-wise, there are hair shops easily spotted on the main road, but I don't need that, I need food. No food stalls or restaurants. And as a hungry traveler, please note that you should eat something prior to arriving at the hostel. No food is served and place to be found. Again, I stayed for one night and the area is silent and still. It's best to just check-in, lock up your things, and hop onto the subway to another area.
