Almir Taso and his brother were fantastic and we felt all the time like home. Brothers arranged a garden party for hostel guests and we met interesting fellow travellers. I recommend this hostel for everyone who wants to stay near old town.

The bathrooms are in urgent need of modernisation, cleanliness is an issue throughout the day, and it tends to run out of water after midnight be that cold or hot. There is a note on the door that the lack of water is due to the restriction imposed by the city but this is simply not true as there is plenty of water elsewhere in the town. The towels given have seen better days, and alhough there are two bathrooms on the floor their accessibility depends solely on the number of guests staying and you are likely to be in line for a long time given that both showers and toilets are placed together. The dorms are crowded and lack some neutral lights, and you are likely to be awaken fairly early by the cleaner or people moving about your room or around it as the walls are thin as paper. The lounge is great though, the kitchen faclities usable and the staff are usually in a good mood and helpfull.
