Introduction
An eastcoast backpacking mecca, Airlie Beach is a sunny and bustling resort and the starting point for sailing tours of the beautiful Whitsunday Islands. There's not a lot to do in Airlie Beach itself other than swim, sunbathe and party.

As a jumping off point for the Whitsunday Islands, Airlie Beach is a key spot in Queensland for snorkelling and scuba diving.

Australia Post is the government's postal service. Most reasonably sizable townssuburbs will have at least one post office. A standard letter or postcard sent within Australia will cost $0.55.
