Introduction
Angra do Heroismo is a city on the Azores island of Terceira. Together with Horta on the island of Faial and Ponta Delgada on the island of Sao Miguel, it is one of three regional capitals on the Azores islands. The city has about 35,000 inhabitants and the historical significance has meant that it is placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Weather
Like much of the Azores, Angra do Heroismo has a mild climate with average temperatures during the day mostly between 17 °C in winter and up to 25 °C in summer. Nights are just several degrees cooler and it rarely gets really chilly. The spring and summer months are driest while winters see more rain.
