Bella Coola is a town and the name of the larger valley including other towns in British Columbia. The town has about 600 inhabitants, while the total area has about 3 times as many people.
Bella Coola Airport (QBC) has flights to Vancouver and Anahim Lake.
BC Ferries provides a vehicle and passenger service in the summer season to Port Hardy on the northern tip of Vancouver Island. The rest of the year there are smaller ferries to local places in the surrounding area.

Postal service is provided by Canada Post, a crown corporation owned by the government but run as an independent business. The lettermail service allows the mailing of a letter.
