The Black Forest (German: Schwarzwald) is a popular tourist destination for lovers of the great outdoors and the lovely old cities along its borders. The Rhine Valley borders the Black Forest in the south and west and the highest peak is the Feldberg at almost 1,500 metres above sea level. The area covers almost 200 by 60 kilometres of nature.
