Buying travel insurance can seem a little daunting so to break it down, all travel insurance policies fall into three categories: Bundled travel insurance policies, custom travel insurance policies and flexible travel insurance policies.

The bundled travel insurance includes medical expenses, accidental death, baggage claim loss, etc.

The custom travel insurance is similar to the bundled one but you are able to customize the insurance to fit your needs.

And finally, it is the flexi travel insurance which allows the flexibility to choose what you want the insurance policy to cover. That way, you can benefit from a lower premium.

It is worth mentioning that if you have home or life insurance, you may already be covered for your trip, so it is worth contacting them and find out exactly what your policy covers for the trip.
