Christiansted is the capital of Saint Croix, the southernmost and largest of the United States Virgin Islands. It's name goes back to the colonial times, when the Danish ruled much of the US Virgin Islands, including St. Croix.

By Plane

Henry E. Rohlsen Airport (STX) is the main gateway and a short drive from the capital. Destinations include Miami, Atlanta, Saint Thomas, San Juan, Anguilla, Nevis, Dominica, Saint Barths, Sint Eustatius, Sint Maarten and Charlotte.

There is a ferry between Christiansted, St. Croix and Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas. The ferry departs from the Marine Terminals in Gallows Bay on St. Croix and in Charlotte Amalie on St. Thomas, taking about 75 minutes to travel between the two towns.
