Both Dublin Bus and Aircoach operate services between Dublin Airport and the City Centre. Dublin Bus operates a number of express buses (Airlink) that link the airport to Heuston and Connolly train stations in the city. Aircoach buses operate 24 hours a day and stop off at/near major hotels around Dublin City.

By Bus: National Services

Numerous national bus services to major cities in Ireland, as well as Belfast in Northern Ireland, are available from Dublin Airport. When direct connections are unavailable from the airport, Bus Éireann operates buses to/fro Busáras (Central Bus Station) and the best way to connect would be by taking Airlink 747 or 748 between the airport and the Busáras.

Direct bus operators from the airport to nationwide destinations:

  • Ardcavan: Dublin Airport - Dublin City - Gorey - Enniscorthy - Wexford
  • Aircoach: Dublin Airport - Belfast, Dublin Airport - Dublin City - Cork
  • Bus Éireann: various routes, consult CIE information centre to the left of the arrival hall
  • Citylink: Dublin Airport - Galway

By Train

There is currently no direct link between the airport and city rail networks. However, bus services operate between the airport and the two major train stations in the city. Airlink 747 links Connolly Station, and Airlink 748 links both Connolly Station and Heuston Station.

Taxis

Taxis are available from a rank outside the arrivals area. The fare will depend on how far your destination is. See the taxi information on the Dublin page for general fare guidelines. The length of the trip is variable, depending on traffic. Between the airport and the city centre, allow approximately 20-30 minutes of travel time.
