Travel Guide North America USA Western United States Colorado Estes Park
Estes Park is located in Colorado, USA and is the main gateway to the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park. The town itself doesn't have much to offer but it's a great place to base yourself while exploring the many places that make up the Rocky Mountains NP. There are numerous hotels, motels, a hostel, campgrounds and restaurants and bars to entertain yourself.
Basically, if you've come all the way to Estes Park, you are probably heading to into the Rocky Mountains. The park's entrances are located just northeast and southeast of the town.
Estes Park lies on the crossroads of several routes. Number 34 goes east towards Loveland and Fort Collins and east into the Rocky Mountains National Park. Number 36 goes southeast towards Longmont. Both routes form a small loop just west of town with incredibale mountains vistas and a chance to spot wildlife like elk and bighorn sheep. Route 7 travels south from town towards route 72.
