Koblenz is half-way between Frankfurt and Cologne/Bonn, which both have numerous flights within Germany, Europe and, mostly in the case of Frankfurt, to other continents.

The Frankfurt-Hahn Airport (HHN) is actually closer to Koblenz than to Frankfurt, about an hour southwest. It can be of some significance if you want to have more choices regarding lowcostairlines. Koblenz lies on the A61 Autobahn, which starts at the Dutch border, in Venlo, and leads to Hockenheim, where it meets the A6 and the A5. The A48 connects Koblenz to the A1 and A3, which both run from north to south.
