Travel Guide Asia Laos Luang Namtha Province
Probably best known for the trekking opportunities in Luang Namtha National Protected Area, this province is also an important trading point between China, Thailand and Laos. There are plenty of eco-tourism options in the area, thereby attracting more adventurous travellers.
The province shares a land border with China and Myanmar as well as Bokeo Province and Oudomxay Province in Laos.
Trekking is the main attraction here and as Laos' most ethnically diverse province, it's also a great place for a homestay or village visit.
