Travel Guide Europe Turkey Central Anatolia Konya Mevlana Museum
Come, come, whoever you are.
Wonderer, worshipper, lover of leaving.
It doesn't matter.
Ours is not a caravan of despair.
Come, even if you have broken your vow
a thousand times
Come, yet again, come, come.
The Mevlana Museum is the mausoleum of Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi, a Sufi master who is also known as Mevlana. Rumi is the author of Mesnevi and master of Mevlevis known as whirling dervishes.
After the ban of dergah and tekkes (dervish lodges) in Turkey, the mausoleum was turned into a museum.
A virtual tour of the museum is found online
