Introduction
Niksic is the second largest city in Montenegro with around 75,000 inhabitants. It is mainly and industrial city with few attractions, though it did give its name to the biggest beer brand of the country.

Niksic has charactertistic of both the Meditarranean and Continental climate, with relatively cold winters though with regular frost and snow. But summers are hot and dry, hotter than along the coast and comparable to those in Podgorica.

Regular buses go to Podgorica and the coastal towns and towards Bosnia and Herzegovina.
