Rothenburg ob der Tauber is a popular small city to visit in the German state of Bavaria. Its well-preserved medieval old town is the big drawcard. It has been a popular destination for tourism since artists discovered the town in the 1880s. It survived World War II relatively unharmed, keeping its charming character.

Although you will find the old post offices (mainly in the city centre), most of the smaller neighbourhood post offices are part of a small tobacco shop or grocery store.
