Skipton, often considered 'The Gateway to the Dales', is situated just to the south of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It is a very pleasant town with a castle, a fine old church and a street market on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. It is located on the Leeds-Liverpool canal.
Leeds/Bradford Airport is the nearest.
