Swan Hill has a semi-arid climate with hot summers and mild winters. Temperatures in summer are mostly around or slightly above 30 °C and winter days average around 15 °C. Temperatures can rise as highs as 47 °C and drop as low as -5 °C. Precipitation is just over 300 mm with most of that falling winter.

Internationally, it costs $1.70 to send postcards anywhere in the world. Letters cost $1.85 to send within the Asia Pacific region and $2.60 to anywhere else in the world.[1].
