Introduction

Toronto offers the opportunity to see a number of professional sports teams from most of the North American major leagues. It is also the home of the Hockey hall of fame.

Professional Sporting Teams

The following are the professional sporting teams in Toronto:

• The Toronto Blue Jays play in the Major League Baseball league (MLB) at Rogers Centre (also known as Skydome, subway: Union) from April until September
• The Toronto Maple Leafs play in the National Hockey League (NHL) at the Air Canada Centre (subway: Union) from October until April
• The Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA) play at the Air Canada Centre (subway: Union) from November until April
• The Toronto Argonauts play in the Canadian Football League (CFL) at the Rogers Centre (subway: Union) from July until November
• The Toronto Rock of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) play at the Air Canada Centre (subway: Union) from December until April.
• The Toronto FC of Major League Soccer (MLS) play at BMO Field (TTC: 509 from Union or 511 from Bathurst streetcars, GO Transit: Exhibition) from April until November

Stadiums, Arenas and Sports Related Museums

• Rogers Centre, previously known as the Skydome, is a multi-use stadium in downtown Toronto. It was the first stadium with a fully-retractable, motorized roof. The Rogers Centre Tour Experience is a one hour, fully-guided behind-the-scenes tour. Highlights of the tour include a visit to the Blue Jays Hall of Fame, a Press Box and a Luxury Suite among other stops. Please note that the Tour Schedule is subject to change due to events in the building. Please call 416-341-2770 to confirm schedule. • Air Canada Centre, is the indoor stadium in downtown Toronto. Visitors can take an hour-long guided tour.
• Hockey Hall of Fame is in BCE place, close to either Union or King subway station. HOURS OF OPERATION: Mon - Fri - 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, Sat - 9:30 am - 6:00 pm, Sun - 10:30 am - 5:00 pm.
