Travel Guide Europe Italy Latium Villa d'Este
The Villa d'Este is almost in the centre of Tivoli but it's worth asking on the bus if you want to go straight there - you save one stop!
The Villa was built for Cardinal Hippolito d'Este II after 1560. he had already done a lot to resuscitate the Vila Adriana. The Villa is worth a look but the glory of the place is in its gardens - particularly in its fountains. The Organ Foutain actually sounds at pre-announced times.
Take the Pescara Line, stop at Stazione Tivoli.
