My wife and I have walked the classic Camino Francés in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 in Spain from Roncesvalles to Santiago de Compostela (approx. 790 km, just under 500 miles). We are members of the Confraternity of Saint James (London), and in 2010 managed a pilgrims refuge on this "Camino". On Youtube, keywords Santiago, Memories of a Great Road some of our impressions.
This year (2011) we'll probably walk again the whole route from mid-May until end of June.
I completed the walk, starting in Sant Jean Pied de Port this September (2011) and arriving in Santiago 27 days later taking the popular "Camino Frances" or "French Road/Route". It was a life changing experience and Im very happy to answer any questions. I am only 20 and was budgeting my way across so ive got all the tips on budgeting, pack weights, what to take, what NOT to take and all the tips on Hostals and what not to miss!
