Quito
Quito is the capital city of Ecuador. It is high up (2,800 metres) in the Andes mountains and the altitude may take some getting used to. The city hosts many wonderful sights including an amazing colonial centre built by the Spanish during colonial times.

Colonial House is in a nice spot in the old town, close enough to most of the attractions. It is excellent value being quite cheap. The manager also speaks pretty good english and is willing to help with whatever you need. All in all well worth a stay. ... more
