San Francisco

San Francisco's cosmopolitan feel and somewhat European charm make it one of the most popular stops in the USA. Located along the northern Californian coastline, the weather here can be a little less sunny and generally colder compared to the southern parts. September and October are considered the most reliable months for a visit.

You can't leave San Francisco without seeing the bush guy! lol The Exploratorium is great for hands on science stuff. I think it's for kids, but totally fun for grown ups too. A brilliant location for the Golden Gate bridge and Alcatraz and the trams. Good value for money. Makes a longer stay in San Francisco possible.

I can certainly recommend this hostel. You walk in and it feels like a hotel, beautiful lobby and lounge area. The rooms are nice, clean and quiet. The staff are really knowledgeable and helpful.

On a hill (like lots of the city) only 2 blocks from cable car, fairly decent bars & restaurants. One very good pasta place is Uncle Vito's on Bush & Powell.

Overall, not bad; a good enough place to crash. However, it could be better. The rooms are far too small. Too much crammed into too small a space.
