Belfast is the largest city in Northern Ireland and indeed the second largest in Ireland following Dublin. Belfast is surrounded by picturesque hills (including that of Cavehill, which supposedly inspired Jonathan Swift, the author of Gullivers Travels) and situated on Belfast Lough, at the mouth of the River Lagan.

You have to check in at the linen house that is about a 10 minute walk away which isn't fun with your bags. The rooms lack anything more than a bed. The shared washrooms are tiny and not nice. The locks on the door are nothing more than a bathroom lock which doesn't make you feel very safe especially since there is no staff that work there. ... more
