Turin in the northwest of Italy not far from the Alps, was the capital of the Duchy of Savoy. The residences of this Royal House are listed on the Unesco World Heritage List. Nowadays it might be more familiar for being the seat of the FIAT (cars) concern. Turin is also an important university city, just like sport is important in this city.

We were a group of 5. They allotted us a dorm with 6 beds. What I appreciated the most was the hospitality offered. Even though they could not converse well in English, they made a sincere effort in telling us where we could eat good pizza and 'very' good pizza!! :) The common bathrooms were not very clean though. ... more

Best way from Nice to Turin?
Hello, We want to travel from Nice to Turin, and they look really close so we thought it would be easy! But all I can find is a train that involves 4 changes and takes 4 and a half hours, or a direct bus that leaves at 4am! Does anyone know of any more logical methods? Thanks for your help, Stacey ...
