Paraty is a city in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Founded in 1667, the city still has many aspects of its original Portuguese colonial architecture. This includes and impressive fort and nice central plaza with a stunning church.

The staff made this trip one of the best stays on our travels! We ad so much fun and it felt like a home. Each morning we received a welcome hug as we left, and in the evenings we had wonderfully home cooked Brazilian food. Town is a 10 minutes walk, and the best it tight opposite. Very nice place, where you will feal as at home. Only one lack at this place- just one bathroom and toilet for two dorms. (one more for the private room, usually travellers are so nice to let you used the other one as well). ... more
