Paraty Hostel - Casa do Rio
Inherently grim. They have tried to brighten it up, but it will always be shady and dark and crammed. There's no way they could get 90 people there at one time without one of them falling into the river. The kitchen situation is odd. It's a long room with computers in it, so it is 'extremely forbidden' to fry your food. ... more
Geko Hostel & Pousada Paraty
The staff made this trip one of the best stays on our travels! We ad so much fun and it felt like a home. Each morning we received a welcome hug as we left, and in the evenings we had wonderfully home cooked Brazilian food. Town is a 10 minutes walk, and the best it tight opposite.
