Ko Pha Ngan (also spelt Koh Phangan) was originally one of the primary backpacker islands in all of Thailand and famous for its monthly Full Moon Party. This place has everything many budget travellers want; cheap booze, cheap western food, cheap lodging and lots of crazy all night parties.

The best way I can think of to describe the dorm we stayed in is 'broken'. The electricity only worked sometimes, same goes for the toilet and showers. And when it rained a lot the roof leaked on us a bit. However the staff were happy to come and fix the problem as best they could. ... more
