Cardiff
Cardiff is a historic city in the very south of Wales. While it was quite a small town for most of its existence, Cardiff grew dramatically throughout the 19th and 20th centuries on the back of the coal industry, for which it served as a major port.

Been around the world and haven't found much better than this. From the warm welcome as you entered from Jason the owner to the brand new facilities on offer this was a real find and cant praise it enough. This hostel was in a fairly good location, just a short walk from Cardiff city centre (though we were greeted with a blank expression when we asked for a map of the city). The bed linen in our room was a nasty brown colour, possibly to distract from the fact that it hadn't been changed before we got there (pubes on the sheet). ... more

This was my first stay in a hostel, and it was absoultely excellent. It was better than staying in a hotel. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the relaxed atmosphere allowed people to meet one another in a friendly manner. The breakfast was an excellent bonus.
