The house where the hostel is located was built in the 1960s, made totally from wooden cedar, and after 6 months of intense refurbishments and construction, they opened the first and the only Backpacker Hostel in Puerto Maldonado in May 2008.

Puerto Maldonado is the capital of the Madre de Dios Region in the southeast of Peru and gateway to the beautiful Manú National Park and other parks and reserves.
