Room had a very funky (read sewage) smell that took a lot away from it. Some of the staff were very helpful; others were less so. In retrospect it would have been easier to stay at a Chinese hotel, and cheaper as well. This was a really nice hotel in a quiet area of town just minutes from the river. Very nice clean room (option for a western or chinese toilet). the staff were nice and spoke some English and helped order taxis, give directions etc. I'd definately stay here again if I was in Guilin. ... more
