Liège (Dutch: Luik) is a city in the central east of Wallonia, the french speaking part of Belgium. It's closely situated near the border with the Netherlands and has a population of about 200,000. The total metropolitan area ranks third in Belgium (after Brussels and Antwerp) with around 750,000 inhabitants.
