Darjeeling

Darjeeling is probably the main tourist destination in West Bengal and certainly the most famous of the old colonial hill stations. Situated in the eastern Himalayas at an altitude of 2,128 metres above sea level, its cool and fresh atmosphere attracts many visitors to escape the sweltering heat of the plains, especially during the summers.
