We've planned our trip at the last minute but we were absolutely lucky to find this nice guesthouse! This brand new guesthouse is located in Higashiyama district. Kiyomizu-dera temple or Gion district are just walking distance (ca. 10 min. on foot). ... more

The staff at this hostel are great! Very friendly and good at English, they try their best to make you feel at home. We stayed in the mixed dorm - the privacy curtain offers much more privacy than other dorms, and the large lockers they provided were a rare luxury in Japan. ... more

I thought it was pretty good value for money, despite the fact that no meals were available. The owners were friendly although it would be worth being prepared with some useful phrases in japanese.
