Magnetic Island is an island in the Great Barrier Reef, 10 kilometres off the coast of Queensland near Townsville. It has become popular as a holiday destination with lots of hotels and resorts catering to visitors. A 27 km² national park has some nice walking tracks and lots of wildlife to explore.

The guy who owned the place was really helpful and friendly but the cleanliness was very poor. The kitchen was digusting. The 2 fridges I didn't want to touch as they looked so grim and you could see the mechanics working underneath them.
