Youth Hostels in French Polynesia

Very friendly place and great value for budget stay in Tahiti. Family owned and operated, Fred and Christelle were always more than happy to help. Breakfasts were ok (due to bakers being on strike during our stay we missed fresh baguettes but oh well, one must appreciate French traditions) and the fully equipped kitchen is a big help for self catering on a budget. Our double room was clean with fan and mosquito net over the bed and we did not mind the company of a lazy gecko We loved the outdoor shower!!! Supermarket 10mins, snorkelling beach with many fishes and a moray eel 5mins, and the cheapest car rental on the island is about 20mins walk from the pension.

One of the nicest accomodations I had - very peaceful and the couple is very helpful and friendly. The only disadvantage might be, that it is located about 20 km out of the city centre and the last bus leaves at 5:30. But if you prefer the beautiful sunsets at the lodge to the city night life - even that is no problem.
I would go there again and I only can recommend it.
