INFORMACIÃ"N: El condado de Wicklow, justo al sur de Dublin, tiene una gran variedad de escenarios. Es conocido como 'El jardÃn de Irlanda'. El este del Condado se caracteriza por ser una zona costera, baja y arenosa, a excepción de pocos lugares donde aparecen pequeñas altitudes que se adentran en el mar. Dos de los pueblos más turÃsticos se encuentran a lo largo de su costa, Arklow y Bray. En la zona central de Wicklow, sin embargo, predomina la Montaña granÃtica con profundas cañadas y valles arbolados. Al oeste, las montañas abren paso a una suave región limitando con un centro planicie. En el Condado de Wicklow es posible olvidarse del ajetreo diario para conseguir auténtico relax, hay muchas opciones para conseguirlo. La región es rica en historia y cultura, cuenta con 5 Jardines Patrimonio, asà como numerosos restos históricos y arqueológicos. Además Wicklow es famoso por sus montañas y playas con lo que ello ofrece para caminar y practicar ciclismo. Glendalough Youth Hostel es un Albergue Juvenil recientemente renovado, situado dentro del Parque Nacional Glendalough, siendo éste un Valle Glaciar con abundante bosque. Esta zona cautiva al viajero no solo por su interés paisajÃstico, sino por ser, durante el siglo VI uno de los asentamientos monásticos más importantes, siendo eruditos y santos sus habitantes. Glendalough, o el 'Valle de los dos lagos', es un lugar imprescindible, le ofrece la posibilidad de pescar, hacer escalada, y excursiones a caballo o a pie por sus numerosas rutas y bosques, siendo Wicklow Way uno de los más sugerentes.
