Amman (عمان) is the capital of Jordan and is by far the largest city in the country with about 2.2 million inhabitants. Amman is a very old city with people living here since about 10,000 years ago! Today, it is the economical and political heart of the country and most people arriving by plane with start their journey through the country here.
