Tulum is located about an hour's drive south of Playa del Carmen, in the state of Quintana Roo on the Yucatan Peninsula. The tourist destination is now divided into three main areas: the archaeological site, the pueblo (or town), and the zona hotelera (or hotel zone).

It has been a couple of exciting days in Tulum, Mexico. We arrived here without any hastles taking ADO bus from Cancun airport to Playa del Carmen, and then to downtown Tulum from there. The whole trip took about two hours and about $18 each (Ryan will know better!) Tulum is qiute a nice little town ...
