Seville (Sevilla in Spanish) is a city in Andalusia in southern Spain best known for its Moorish fort-cum-palace, the Alcázar. It also boasts the distinction of being the place where tapas were first invented. Seville was founded over 2,000 years ago by the Romans, who were displaced from the region early in the 8th century by the Moors.
