Citizenship: New ZealandI'm not exactly a traveller yet, although I do what I can locally and within New Zealand. I intend to leave the country in 2011, probably for the UK, at least to start with. Might be fair to say I'm getting a bit far ahead of myself with this blog, but it will help me stay focused, and with planning. No doubt seeing other peoples blogs will keep my motivation high!
Hobbies:Lots of things will take my fancy at some point, but the more consistent of these are horse riding, swimming, sewing and reading. Not to mention, of course, enjoying anything new, my favourite thing of all about travel is that it has something new all the time, new people, new things to do, new foods to taste, new sights to see. I love exploring and adventure.
Favourite places:Now I could give a list of my favourite places, but they are all in New Zealand, which is just infinitely less exciting to me, so I thought I might instead mention a few places that I am really keen on going to instead.
The UK, in particular Cornwall and Devon, where my father grew up, Scotland as well.
Slovenia intrigues me, and I would like to see Spain, particularly around the South coast. I guess all around the Mediterranian, particularly Italy, Greece, and over to Croatia. Eastern Europe holds some fascination, and I would go for nosing about Switzerland and Germany too.
After Europe, I would like to go through Turkey, then over to India, and into Thailand, Vietnam, perhaps North into China, maybe Japan, maybe not. I would love to visit Mongolia and Tibet, but I think they might come under the more difficult destinations.
South America holds a great deal of allure, particularly Peru, Chile and Argentina. I would really like to see the Inca trails and temple remnants.
All in all I guess three or four continents... a touch ambitious perhaps, but there you go.

Well I'm nearing the end of my graduate diploma. Having got almost all of my essays and assignments back now, I'm not too worried about exams. I think I currently sit on a B+ average for this semester, which surprises me, given how much less work I've done, and how much more hate I have for teachers college. The amount of pointless work we do is incredible. And the disorganisation. Honestly. We got an email today reminding us that we need to get in touch with the admin if we need to do the first aid course (all graduating teachers need to have one, but you're exempt from doing it through the college if you hold a current one). The first email we got about it was that we need to get in touch with admin if we already have a certificate, and don't need to the course, and everyone else would automatically be enrolled. Now they're saying we need to get in contact asap if we want to do the course. Honestly guys, what the *uck sort of administration do you call that?
Anyways, frustration w
