I'm just your average Joe, perhaps with some unusual expectations in life. I don't care much about money or jewelry but appreciate other things in life such as a long evening walk in the snow, a good dinner to share with someone special, the colors of a dawning sun amidst the foggy fields in automn, the admiration for a breathtaking piece of art, the shivering across my spine by hearing a beautiful song.. beauty in all her forms and shapes! I'm just trying to make ends meet; being ambitious enough but not too much, earning money enough, but not too much, being kind to others and getting the best out of the people that surround me. My aim is just to be happy at the end of it all..

Hobbies:

I love cooking and playing guitar.. love to visit places of art and beauty but also of adventure and thrills. I like reading and watching a good movie and love doing sports! I'm eager to meet new people; only condition: be your happy self!

Favourite places:

Ireland and it's raw power and solitude. France for its food and villages. Berlin for it's dynamism and openmindness. Switserland for it's lush mountains ánd people. Italy for it's legacy and grace, ánd food;) Belgium for just being my home, small but great. The bed for reading a book at night. The couch for lazy evening watching movies. The kitchen table for sharing a meal with a close friend. Outdoors to play guitar through all kinds of weather.

Bangkok en Damnoen Sadouak

Hallo bloggers!!

Het is vandaag donderdag 6 september en vannacht om 2u moet ik het vliegtuig in naar Amsterdam. Met de nadruk op 'moet' want ik ben het reizen zo gewend geraakt dat het een afkicken zal worden in Belgie. Ik wou dat dit eeuwig kon blijven duren, maar het sprookje stopt hier en nu voor mij. Mocht ik ooit euromillions winnen of op een andere manier stinkend rijk worden, dan weet ik nu al wat ik zal doen met mijn geld De reismicrobe heeft me goed beet en ik ga alleszins proberen om zo snel mogelijk opnieuw te vertrekken -al weet ik zeker dat het voor een veel kortere periode zal moeten zijn... maar das ook nog altijd leuk!

Na het schitterende Laos (ik raad iedereen aan om er zo vlug mogelijk naartoe te gaan nu het land nog authentiek is en onaangetast door het massatoerisme) terug naar Thailand om de laatste etappe van mijn reis aan te vatten. Een paar daagjes in Chiang Mai om uit te ruste
