There could only be one stop for my next destination and I knew it from the moment I first tried to say it. I find it inconceivable that anybody could drive past somewhere called Mooloolaba without giving it a second glance and attempting to say it whilst emphasising on the Mooooo. Just me? Well my second glance was to be a 2 night stay at Mooloolaba's finest/only backpacker establishment.
Despite being less than 100km up the coast Mooloolaba isn't the easiest of places to get to which I discovered when planning my trip involving a taxi, 2 trains & 2 buses. Once I escaped Brisbane the journey was somewhat rewarding as I sneaked in the speediest of schooners at a proper old school pub in a tiny town named Loughsborough and from the safety of the bus I even saw Steve Irwin holding a croc. It's a shame he didn't yell out "Crikey" but it was only a cardboard cutout so fair enough. Some 4 hours after leaving Kieran and the glorious bush hat and I’d arrived at Mooloolaba backpackers
