wisconsin...it's getting cold

Yes, fall is in the air but it feels like winter to us.

NE Wisconsin around Green Bay has been under high wind advisories for several days. Temperatures in the 30s but much colder with the wind effect. Yes, this morning there were even snow flurries, a likely indication that it's time to leave.

I was able to capture a few snap shots of the fall foilage although the wind has taken its toll on most of the trees. It blows leaves much like blowing snow. Whitecaps off of the Bay make it even colder. Are you getting the point that we think it's cold??!!

We have taken sidetrips to view small towns on the Peninsular in Door County. It's amazing that on one side of the peninsular is Green Bay some 15 miles wide and on the other side is Lake Michigan. In between is nothing but farm land. Many dairy farms surround this area. It is apple season, so you can "pick your own apples," buy fresh apple cider - so delicious when warmed as a night cap, fresh vegetables from the gar
