When I was six I went to Africa with my family, to Kenya and Tanzania. The memories from that trip have stayed with me for over 20 years, I've always wanted to go back to Africa.
So now I'm going, to Namibia this time, to work as a volunteer at an animal reserve. The place is called Harnas, and has, among others, the animals in the reserve:
Caracal, Cheetah, Leopard, Lion, Brown Hyena, Bat-eared Fox, Jackal, Wild dog, Vulture, Ostrich, Blesbock, Eland, Hartebeest, Impala, Giraffe, Gnu/Wildebeest, Kudu, Oryx, Springbock ebra, Suricate/Meerkat, Honeybadger, Mongoose, Crocodile, Vervet Monkey, Baboon, Porcupine, Warthog.
But what will I be doing down there?
I'll do all kinds of different work. I'll help with maintenance and repairs, feeding, walking the lions, nightwatch, game count at waterholes, watching over the monkeys, and probably a thousand other small or big tasks.
