TEFL DIARY WEEK 5

Third graders are having their mid-term test today so hours have changed and schedule. Apparently I won’t be teaching 1-4 first graders why I don’t know.

1-1 boys at Seongsan were much better behaved today. They silenced themselves every time I asked them to and they even apologized which makes me feel as if I’ve earned their respect and that they will make more of an effort to talk less and to study.

1-3 girls lesson was plain sailing. Behaviour was on the whole good despite the few relentless chatterboxes.

Just had 1-2 boys. About five students got yellow cards for talking while I was tryign to teach. Their names were put on the board and penalty points given to them meaning they are closer to having their parents being text messaged and maybe summoned to come to the school.

Onse student disobeyed so much I sent him to a bad student table with a worksheet related to what we teaching to complete and infuriated he kicked the rubbish bin !
