Flew out of Adelaide on Qantas at 12:30 pm on May 1st 2008.
Spent one night at Novotel C Quay giving us a good nights sleep and a full day exploring using our 24 hour pass on the MRT.
Lugged our heavy bags through 2 changes of trains (MRT) from Changi Airport to a station .5 km to our hotel, but a great way to see the people on their way about their everyday activities and to get an idea of the size and shape of current Singapore.
Had a great, but late, evening meal on the quayside. Slept like logs and had a delicious late breakfast in China Town, before visitng the Buddhist Tooth Relic temple, which sits alongside a Hindu temple.
Visited Harbourside to see where the tourist liners dock and then caught the MRT for a circle around Singapore, stopping at the Chinese Gardens to see the wonderful bonsai trees, some over 300 years old. Lindsay climbed the pagoda, while Elisabeth held the backpack. She's in the picture at the bottom of the circular staircase!
Returned to the hotel on
