First let me say, I couldn't ever leave him for 24 days. Originally that was the plan. After countless nights of staying up late wondering what could happen to my beautiful boy Simiyi or to myself in that amount of time, was to much, until a buddy who is going on this trip with me, simply said "just bring him along, I'll pack him up with me." I couldn't believe that someone other than I, would say this. So the decision was made that we would bring him along. Now I'm planning a trip with my son under my wing. So many things to take into consideration. However, I no longer have to worry about hangovers. Another plus is I have two men going with me, both wildland firefighters that carry around 40 plus pounds, 14 hours a day, anyways. Wish me luck. I have 2 and a half months to plan this trip.
